087 | cavalerra feat. joaquin – spectrum

Für das letzte Broque Release des Jahres hat sich unser alte Weggefährte Max Cavalerra etwas Besonderes einfallen lassen und sich mit Joaquin verbündet, von dem wir auch erstmal nicht mehr wissen als seinen Alias. Das macht die Sache etwas geheimnisvoll aber gleichzeitig auch umso spannender. Max‘ Freunde sind unsere Freunde und bei so einer tollen EP wie „Spectrum“ vertrauen wir den beiden sowieso blind. Über fünf Tracks toben sich die Herren auf den von Cavalerras Releases (z.B. auf Karmarouge, Harthouse, Parasound) gewohnten Spielwiesen aus, zwischen dunklem Maschinenraum-Techno und leuchtenden Neo-Trance-Referenzen, machen dabei ganz weit die Hallräume auf und verstehen es vor allem, alles in wunderbar swingende und vielschichtige Grooves einzubetten. Da bleiben keine Fragen offen und wir bedanken uns bei Max und Joaquin für diese wunderbare EP, die kaum besser dieses fantastische Jahr auf Broque beschließen könnte.
